Mosaic Organizations are housed in colleges across the university. The organizations are run by students who are learning the disciplines that are critical to building any program, product, or organization. These include business planning, design, law, product design and prototyping, accounting, etc.

WHAT IS MOSAIC?

Mission
Mosaic is a coalition of student-led organizations that empowers entrepreneurial builders by lowering the barrier of entry to entrepreneurship, creating community, and providing resources across the global Northeastern network.
Vision
Develop the extra-curricular educational and training arm of Northeastern University’s Entrepreneurship strategy to provide students across the global Northeastern network access to our expansive ecosystem. We are advocates and allies who are in your corner!

As a member of the Mosaic coalition, our organizations enjoy access to dedicated staff members to ensure their longevity and success. From budget creation and management to leadership workshops to University advocacy, we offer our students personalized coaching as they navigate the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Expectations for our Organizations
As a member of the Mosaic coalition, Mosaic organizations must support an annual minimum of 10 NU-community builders and collaborate on three events across the Northeastern Entrepreneurship Ecosystem. They must be an active participant in supporting our interdisciplinary community.

DISRUPT

Disrupt is bringing all things FinTech to Northeastern University. We aim to create a community which drives education, advancement, and engagement in FinTech for the University and the greater FinTech community. We host tech workshops, talks with industry leaders, and a fintech venture incubator program - Finnovate. Finnovate and our other events aim to provide students the resources and guidance they need to build their future in the FinTech entrepreneurship realm.

Within the Entrepreneurs Club, we run six different events and programs over the course of the semester. Our goal is to help our diverse cohort of Northeastern University students discover their entrepreneurial drive by providing opportunities to build meaningful relationships and experiences outside of the classroom.

EVOLVE

Evolve is a student-run venture accelerator program that provides Northeastern STEM oriented community members the opportunity to bring their products to market and fundraise by giving them the necessary skills and network to feel confident in their path forward and the future iterations of their innovative solutions. Through Evolve, our members actively source and interact with ventures/startups in their early stages of fundraising. This allows students to gain experience working with real ventures/clients and stakeholders while gaining firsthand knowledge and experience about the entrepreneurial process.

Generate is a student-run Sherman Center program and Northeastern's Product Development Studio. We develop the Northeastern entrepreneurial engineer through our product development studio and educational programming. Generate provides hardware and software development to ventures across our network.

IP Law Clinic

The IP Law Clinic is an integral part of the Mosaic community. Under the guidance of its director and support staff, the Clinic’s student Members provide vital trademark, copyright and trade secret legal services to two “universes” of clients: inventors and ventures within Northeastern’s entrepreneurial ecosystem (any current or former NEU student, faculty member or staff member is eligible) and a limited number of local individuals and entities who are otherwise unable to afford IP-related legal assistance. Its goals are to enhance the campus innovative and creative environment and to foster opportunities for members of the Northeastern and surrounding community
