Meet the Mosaic Fellow

For the past few years, Mosaic has had a Fellow tasked with liaising among the Mosaic Organizations and between the students and the University. This year our Fellow for the 2020-2021 school year is Jacqueline Sabia.


Jacqueline is both and experienced digital marketer and a lifestyle blogger in Boston. Her blog, JQLouise.com, offers personal travel stories, curated itineraries and tips for the globetrotting foodie. In addition to her blog and social channels (follow @jqlouise on Instagram), Jacqueline has contributed to outlets such as: WSJ, Forbes, the Boston Herald, Teen Vogue, Food Network, NBC and many others. She also had her first book, Boston Food Crawls, which takes readers on a culinary tour through Boston, hit shelves in 2018.

“I’m excited to bring my marketing and community building experience to the team at Mosaic.” Says Jacqueline. “The students are working on some amazing things and I can’t wait to help them leverage all that Mosaic and the University has to offer to bring their passions to life.”

Who is Mosaic and Why Should You Get Involved?

With the world still operating largely in a remote, distanced, virtual manner, it is easy to feel isolated even with classes resuming on campus for many. However, at Mosaic you will always find community.

Northeastern is dedicated to nurturing future entrepreneurial leaders across all fields and disciplines. Mosaic is a place for you to foster your passions by exploring entrepreneurship in a meaningful, hands-on way. We are a diverse community of students, faculty and staff focused on lifelong learning, collaboration and experiential work. So, if you are feeling a little lost this year, consider joining Mosaic.

The spirit of entrepreneurship goes far beyond the desire to start a venture. Whether you are a student interested in running a product team, cultivating your design skills or experiencing any other facet of business life, Mosaic has a place for you. Our alliance of entrepreneurially minded people share a passion for building and leading new products, programs, and organizations. Our 11 organizations span the fields of venture incubation, design, product ideation, angel investing, strategy, law, prototyping, accounting, and much more, allowing you to connect with other students across the university.

Students in Mosaic organizations learn that there are many ways to build and grow a business and you can experience both the depth and breadth of business life here.

Entrepreneurs Club

The goal of Entrepreneurs Club is to help our diverse cohort of Northeastern University students discover their entrepreneurial drive by providing opportunities to build meaningful relationships and experiences outside of the classroom like the Husky Startup Challenge and their Tuesday Speaker Series.

WISE

WISE, the Women’s Interdisciplinary Society of Entrepreneurship, is focused on building a community for women interested in exploring entrepreneurship and developing an innovative mindset.

IDEA

IDEA is a student-led venture accelerator that educates Northeastern entrepreneurs on developing a business from concept to launch. Have an idea for a venture? Learn how to get started with IDEA.

Generate

Generate provides engineering product design to Northeastern’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Work with real clients on exciting projects ranging from physical devices to data driven software.

Scout

Scout provides the design community at Northeastern the opportunity for real client interactions, a speaker series, and interactive workshops. Explore what a career or business in the design world looks like at Scout.

Huntington Angels Network

Huntington Angels Network is dedicated to connecting startups with global angel investor networks and venture capital firms.

IP CO-LAB

Under the guidance of its director and support staff, IP CO-LAB’s student members provide vital trademark, copyright and trade secret legal services to both university-affiliated and Boston area ventures.

NU Impact

NU Impact is a financial educational fund that provides students with the opportunity to make social investments, and earn impactful financial returns for the fund.

Origin

Origin provides funding, mentorship, and ongoing support for scientific & technological projects at Northeastern.

Vital

Focused on disrupting healthcare with innovative thinking, Vital is making strides in this space.

Compass

Compass is Northeastern’s student-led accounting resource center, which aims to help ventures in the ecosystem with taxes and other accounting needs.
